Kisii Soapstone Decorative Plate / African Wall Art Plate

Bring a piece of Kenya into your home with this handmade Kisii soapstone decorative plate. Each plate is carved from smooth soapstone, then engraved by hand with fine lines and patterns, so every piece is a small work of art. The shallow, rounded shape and polished surface catch the light and feel cool and silky to the touch.

Choose from two designs. The red geometric plate has a deep red center crossed by a band of black and white engraved patterns, with waves, honeycomb shapes, and lines, framed by a beaded, dotted rim. The Maasai scene plate is hand-painted with two Maasai warriors holding spears and shields, a cow nearby, and green hills under a golden sky, all bordered by a carved vine pattern.

Display the plate on a shelf, sideboard, or table using a plate stand, or hang it on a wall with a plate hanger as African art. Stand and hanger are not included. It also works as a gift for travelers, collectors, and anyone who loves Kenyan culture. Each plate is hand-carved, engraved, and finished by hand, so color, pattern, and painting details vary slightly from piece to piece.
