African Hut Nativity Set / Mini Thatched Roof Christmas Crib

Bring the Christmas story home in miniature with this handmade African hut nativity set. A small round hut with a tall, pointed roof of natural thatch-like fiber shelters the holy family. The roof tapers to a graceful peak and gives the hut the look of a traditional African home.

The body of the hut is a smooth, warm tan, with an open front that lets you see inside. Small, soft figures gather around a baby resting in a woven manger on a bed of straw, with visitors kneeling on the base in front. Everything is shaped and finished by hand, so the scene has a gentle, earthy charm.

The set is compact, so it fits on a shelf, mantel, desk, or table where a full nativity would not. It also makes a thoughtful gift for family, friends, churches, and collectors, and it travels well in a suitcase. It is for decoration only and is not a toy. Each hut is made by hand, so size, color, and detail vary slightly from piece to piece.
