Gourd Nativity Set / Painted Hand Carved Christmas Crib

Discover a one-of-a-kind way to tell the Christmas story with this handmade gourd nativity set. The outside is a deep red gourd with a long, curved neck, trimmed with a cream zigzag band and fine painted lines. A cut-out lid on the front, decorated with a star pattern, opens to reveal a tiny scene inside.

Inside the gourd sit Mary, a standing figure with a staff, and the baby in a manger, with small animals gathered around. The warm, golden inner wall gives the scene a soft glow, and the closed gourd keeps the figures safe from dust when not on display.

The set is small enough for a shelf, mantel, desk, or table, and it makes a thoughtful gift for families, churches, travelers, and collectors. It is for decoration only and is not a toy. Each gourd is shaped, painted, and finished by hand, so size, color, and detail vary slightly from piece to piece.
