Kisii soapstone is a soft, smooth stone from the Kisii highlands of western Kenya, long known for its skilled carvers. It is easy to shape, takes a fine polish, and has a cool, silky feel in the hand. The red and black style has an engraved border of elephants and acacia trees that gives the board a bold safari look. The green and black style has a polished teal-green surface with a gold-toned engraved rim.
